Yes, there’s plenty of free parking available on-site for our guests.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including our bedrooms and public areas.

We do – gift vouchers are available for a range of experiences at the hotel. You can browse the selection or purchase via our website.

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. If you'd like to arrive a little earlier or stay a little longer, just let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

We have some dog-friendly rooms available. Just check the amenities listed for the room you’re booking. Assistance dogs are, of course, always welcome.

Your arrival time will be confirmed when you book. We kindly ask that you arrive at the time given so we can give you the warmest possible welcome.

Spa days and treatments are for those aged 18 and over. Guests aged 16+ can enjoy facials or nail treatments with a parent or guardian present. Dual treatment rooms are available if you'd like to book at the same time.
Access to the spa facilities, changing areas, and gym is for over 18s only. Children can use the 25-metre swimming pool from 7:00–10:00 and 16:00pm–18:00 daily, but must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Yes – aqua aerobics classes are held in the main pool on three mornings each week. If you'd prefer to visit on a quieter day, let us know when booking and we’ll advise the best times.

Of course – spa vouchers make a lovely gift. You can buy them online or speak to our reservations team for more details.

We recommend leaving jewellery and valuables at home, as it’s easy to misplace small items while relaxing. The spa cannot accept responsibility for lost items.

Hotel guests can use the 25-metre pool and fitness suite during their stay (children’s times apply). Hydrotherapy and outdoor pool access is reserved for guests on a spa day, spa break or who have a spa membership. You’ll need to book your time slot to help us manage numbers and keep things quiet and peaceful.

Please bring swimwear and suitable gym wear if you plan to use the pool or fitness suite. We’ll provide fluffy robes, towels, spa footwear and amenities in the changing areas, including hairdryers.

Any lost property is kept at the spa reception for six months. If it’s not collected in that time, we’ll donate it to local charities. For hygiene reasons, liquids, swimwear, underwear and hairbrushes are discarded daily.

Full payment is taken when you book. Prices are shown in GBP and may be subject to change. Gratuities aren’t included – but always appreciated at your discretion.

We aim to create a peaceful, relaxing space for all our guests. Please keep phones and devices on silent and avoid taking photos or videos in the spa and changing areas. The spa is smoke-free and alcohol is only permitted poolside Monday to Thursday after 12:00. We may speak with you if we feel behaviour is affecting other people’s experience.

If you cancel more than 48 hours before your appointment, we’ll refund 50% of your payment. We may also be able to reschedule your appointment within 3 weeks, subject to availability. Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable. If you’re late, we may need to shorten your treatment – full payment will still apply. Missed appointments will also be charged in full.

If you’ve booked a treatment only, we recommend arriving up to 15 minutes before your appointment. This gives you time to complete a consultation form and get changed if needed. To keep things running smoothly for all our guests, late arrivals may result in a shorter treatment time, and refunds can’t be offered.

If you’re just joining us for a treatment, access to the wider spa facilities isn’t included – but you’re very welcome to book a spa day or spa break to make the most of everything we offer.

No, we welcome both members and visitors. You can book a tee time online or by calling the team.

Yes, You can hire out our golf buggies, trolleys and clubs. We recommend booking in advance, though.

Smart golf attire is required on the courses and in the practice areas. Denim, tracksuits and non-golf shoes are not permitted.

Yes, The Clubhouse serves light bites, meals, and drinks all day – open to both golfers and non-golfers.

We’re happy to hold your date for up to 14 days. To confirm your booking, we’ll ask for a £1,000 deposit.

Yes, all of our function rooms and treehouses are licensed for civil ceremonies, led by a registrar from Durham County Council. Please note that it is a legal requirement for the wedding couple to book the registrars themselves.

You’ll need to book your registrar separately through Durham Registry Office on 0300 026 3263. It’s a good idea to secure both your ceremony and venue date around the same time.

After your initial deposit, the payment schedule is:

– £1,000 six months after booking
– 50% of your total balance four months before the day
– Final balance four weeks before your wedding

Yes, trial meals can be booked Monday to Thursday between 17:00 and 18:00, at £35 per person.

Absolutely. Just let us know in advance, and please make a note of any dietary requirements on your table plan.

Of course – we’ll provide a stand and knife for you to use. Your cake can be delivered from 7am on the day.

Yes, both are allowed. We kindly ask that you use biodegradable confetti wherever possible.

Of course – you’re welcome to bring your own decorations, or work with a supplier of your choice.

We’re happy to type and print your table plan. Place cards aren’t provided, but we do have easels available for any signs or displays you bring along.

You’ll be able to start setting up from 7am on the morning of your wedding.

Yes, we offer a 20% discount on bedroom bookings for the night of your wedding.

Hotel guests can enjoy one hour’s use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Time slots can be booked when they arrive.

We have 127 bedrooms, including doubles, twins, family rooms and suites. We also have our cosy Farmhouse and luxury Treehouses – plus accessible and dog-friendly options.

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am. If you’re hoping for early check-in, just check with us the day before – we’ll do our best to help if rooms are ready.
